“Why can’t a man marry a man or a woman marry a woman without being condemned to hell?”

If God loves us and gave us free will, why can’t a man marry a man or a woman marry a woman without being condemned to hell?

God does not single out homosexuals. Everyone is dead in sin and destined for an eternity apart from God. God wants to redeem everyone–gay and straight–and give them a full and fulfilling life! That begins with trusting Him to do it through Jesus, the source of life. Then a transformative journey begins where a person’s primary identity is found in being a child of God.

  1. The objection proves too much. We could ask why cant whom ever do anything without being condemned to hell?

    Why cant a person rape a child…?
Why cant a person kill a little old lady…?

This is an objection based on feelings. The feeling that same-sex sexual behavior feels right/normal/natural therefore it cant be bad. But in reality many urges and desires are expected to be suppressed. I have often wondered why sexuality is so strong an influence in people that they will do virtually anything and make virtually any argument in order to justify it and get others to accept and embrace it.
